The Aztecs Summer Cup is back!
Following a successful first edition, Southampton Aztecs Futsal Club is proud to host the second Aztecs Summer Cup on Saturday 8 for women’s and Sunday 9 August for men’s at the Ravelin Sports Centre in Portsmouth.
The tournament continues our commitment to growing futsal in Hampshire by bringing together top English clubs and international opposition for another weekend of high-level competition, and this edition is set to be our biggest yet.
International Teams Headline the Women’s Tournament
This year’s women’s competition marks another milestone for the club.
We’re delighted to welcome Birkirkara F.C. from Malta and Aarschot from Belgium. It is the second time Southampton Aztecs has hosted international teams, reinforcing our ambition to connect English futsal with the wider European game.
Their arrival adds a new challenge for every club involved while giving supporters the chance to watch international futsal without leaving Hampshire. The mix of playing styles, tactical approaches, and cultures creates thrilling matches and offers players invaluable experiences not often found in regular league play.
Strong Competition Across Both Days
The Aztecs Summer Cup continues to attract some of the strongest clubs in the country.
The women’s tournament will see the return of Bootham and Maidenhead United, with Bucks, Bournemouth Grays (formerly Dorset), MK Mavericks, and Rise Futsal (formerly Bloomsbury) joining for the first time. In the men’s competition, Bucks, Tikitaca, Futsal 360 Bristol, Farnborough, and London International return, while Night Owls, Kew Park Rangers, Volta Futsal, and Portsmouth & Southsea make their debuts.
This mix of established clubs, ambitious newcomers, and international visitors promises fiercely competitive matches throughout the weekend.
