Legends Leaving

It's time to say goodbye. These Aztecs legends depart the club.

Starting with Alberto Mbuna, who was with us from the start. Alberto has been with us through the highs and the lows, and leaves us with the memories of some incredible goals. He is returning to Spain to pursue professional football opportunities, landing at Club Deportivo Naval in Valencia. We will miss him greatly, and wih him the best of luck on grass.
Electrifying. Relentless. Unforgettable. Alberto's goals will be replayed forever.
Next up, we say goodbye to Amber Treweek.

After two years of being undefeated, AFC Bournemouth finally got their promotion, and as such, the door closes on Amber's futsal journey. Continuing the undefeated theme, Amber never lost a league game in Aztecs colours. Formidable at the back, and a threat with both feet at the front, Amber's legacy will be remembered for a long time.
Amber was part of the women's team's most successful season. She has vowed to return one day, as we have unfinished business.
The next goodbye is Ben Codd.

After two years at the club, Ben leaves not just as an Aztecs legend, but a legend of the Southampton futsal scene. As club president at University of Southampton, Ben has built something to be proud of. Ben has now graduated, and returns home to Kent, where he has joined NFS T1 side Kent United.
Ben has several Aztecs records that will likely take a long time to be beaten.
Ben has scored the longest distance goal, which was 34m against Portsmouth and Southsea.
Ben is the highest scoring goalkeeper at the club.
Ben is the only men's player, to score in four different colours; white, black, green, and red.
And who can forget his time as host of Aztecs TV reporting from Slovakia?
We'll likely still see Ben around for a few cameos in the future.
The next goodbye is Joe Monday.

Over the last two seasons, Joe has popped up with some important goals in big games, scoring for the Aztecs in our first ever cup final in Manchester, while also being our top goal scorer in Slovakia. Solid in defence, and deceptively skilful, Joe's time at Portsmouth University has come to an end, taking his Woking shirt home with him.
We'll hopefully see Monday again in future for some cameos.
The last Aztecs legend to be featured in this piece is Khadija Kazmi.

The Solent master's student has graduated, and now returns to Pakistan. She'll take with her some memories of important goals, and lots of new friends. Skilful on the ball, and stronger than she looks, K had a ferocious intelligence about her as a player and a person. Curious to learn, determined to bring about change, we know she'll benefit the people at wherever she ends up.
Khadija scored the winning goal in the South Coast Football Festival, as Aztecs Red beat Aztecs Green 1-0 in the final.

And her last ever touch of a ball in Aztecs colours was the winning goal against champions Bloomsbury in a 2-1 win at the Aztecs Summer Cup.
What a way to go!
We will miss these players greatly. Not just for what they did on the court, but for who they are as people. Thank you for the memories, and we'll see you again!
