19th of February 2023: A back and forth game capped with a last minute equaliser, the Aztecs then suffered the heartbreak of penalties, exiting the cup.
Antonio Ramos and Laurynas Jonaitis back in the team. Sam Ray still injured, Sean Dye away with Solent, Mamadou Sané a long term absence, and Enrique Mbela dropping out the day before.
Either team could have won the game in normal time, making a draw a fair result. Portsmouth went ahead 2-0, then the Aztecs went 4-2 ahead, finishing 4-4 at the break. Both teams lead in the second half, and with a minute to go it was 7-6 to Portsmouth. Dexter Santos, always the coolest man on the court, grabbed the late equaliser with seconds remaining. The game went straight to penalties, with three each, where the Aztecs fell 3-2.
Callum Bowers scored two fine goals and was voted player of the match.
